What is the difference between a notarized letter and a notarized statement?

To my knowledge in which I did my due diligent search, I could not find anything such a known as a Notarized letter. I also have not heard of any notaries stating that they were empowered to Notarized a letter for that matter.

Now on the other hand I have heard of Notaries being empowered to notarize statements furnished by the someone when that person is under oath.

Have not known anyone to notarize a letter.

Statements under oath are notarized in which the person has to sign in the presence of the notary.

Just a quick note: notaries are not empowered to notarize any statements in which were not signed in his/her presence for the simple fact Acknowledgment of prefixed signatures does not authorize a Notary to attest a document.

Of course documents can be notarized as true copies of the originals on the production of the originals before the Notary. Through my research I this is what my answer was to the question, feel free to chime in if you anyone found otherwise. God Bless.
